Official Rules: The Princeton Review Great Expectations Sweepstakes

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER. Buying will not help an entrant win. Entrant’s chances of winning without making a purchase are the same as the chances of someone who purchases something. It is illegal to give any advantage to buyers in a sweepstakes.

ELIGIBILITY

Open to all legal residents of the United States and the District of Columbia, excluding Puerto Rico, except as prohibited by law.

HOW TO ENTER

The contest begins at 5 p.m. Eastern Standard Time on September 23rd, 2002 and ends at 5 p.m., Eastern Standard Time on November 1st, 2002 (the “Deadline”). Every person who returns a questionnaire/entry form shall be entered in the contest. Only one entry per person is allowed. All entries must be received by Princeton Review Management, L.L.C. (the “Sponsor”) by the end of the Deadline, and entries must be completed in full to be eligible. Sponsor assumes no responsibility for lost, late, delayed, damaged, incomplete, illegible, unintelligible, inaccurate, or misdirected entries.

ADDITIONAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

By completing the questionnaire/entry form, the entrant is submitting his/her information to Sponsor. Sponsor will not be contacting entrant, except to notify him/her if he/she is the winner of the sweepstakes. However, if the entrant would like Sponsor to contact him/her regarding Sponsor’s products and/or services, he/she may opt-in by indicating his/her desire to be contacted in the future by Sponsor regarding Sponsor’s service and products by checking the appropriate “Opt-In” box located on the questionnaire/entry form. Choosing to “Opt-In” in no way increases or diminishes the entrant’s chances of winning the Sweepstakes. By submitting a questionnaire/entry form, entrant fully and unconditionally agrees to and accepts these Official Rules. Sweepstakes is void where prohibited. Subject to any governmental approval that may be required, Sponsor reserves the right to, without prior notice and at any time, terminate or cancel the Sweepstakes, in whole or in part, or modify the Sweepstakes in any way. Sponsor, its agents, subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, consultants, employees and representatives are not responsible for (i) any condition caused by events beyond their control that may cause the Sweepstakes to be disrupted or corrupted; (ii) any injuries, losses, or damages (compensatory, direct, incidental, consequential or otherwise) of any kind arising in connection with or as a result of the prize, or acceptance, possession, or use of the prize, or from participation in the Sweepstakes; or (iii) any printing or typographical errors in any materials associated with the Sweepstakes. By participating in the Sweepstakes, each entrant agrees to release and hold Sponsor, its respective affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising, promotion and fulfillment agencies, legal advisors, or other parties in any way involved in the development, production, or distribution of the Sponsor, its agents, subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, consultants, employees and representatives, harmless from any and all losses, damages, rights, claims and actions in any kind in connection with the Sweepstakes or resulting from acceptance, possession, or use of any prize, including without limitation, personal injury, death, and property damage, and claims based on publicity rights, defamation, or invasion of privacy.

PRIZES

One (1) tuition scholarship to a college or graduate school of the winner’s choice will be awarded to the contest winner of the Promotional Period of the Sweepstakes, representing a total value of $2,500. 1st place: (1) LiveOnline or Classroom course of winner's choice. 2nd place: (3) Test prep book of winners' choice. No transfer of prizes or substitution of prizes is permitted. Winners under the age of 18 must have their parent and/or legal guardian accept the prize on their behalf.

SELECTION OF WINNER

The winner will be selected in a random drawing from all eligible entries received during the Promotional Period. The drawing will be held on November 29, 2002. The odds of winning depend upon the number of eligible entries received.

NOTIFICATION OF WINNER

The winner will be notified within ten (10) days after the entrant has been deemed a winner. All decisions of Sponsor are final and binding. Sponsor is not responsible for late, lost, or misdirected notifications. If the potential winner cannot be contacted within ten (10) business days of the first attempt, or if the potential winner fails to comply with these Official Rules, the potential winner forfeits the prize. Any prize not claimed within ninety (90) days after notification will be forfeited, and Sponsor shall not be held responsible to, or liable for failure to, contact the potential winner who provided an incorrect or no address if a prize is not returned or not sent. Entrants shall be sure to update their questionnaires/entry forms regularly with their correct contact information so that they will receive prizes if they become a potential winner. Any potential winner who fails to notify Sponsor with any complaint or problem within ninety (90) days after prize notification, forfeits the right to do so. The winner may be required to sign (or winner’s legal guardian or parent if such winner is not of legal age in his/her state of residence) a publicity release within thirty (30) days of notification, which will allow Sponsor to use winner’s name, biographical information, picture, portrait, voice and/or likeness for the purpose of advertising, trade, or promotion without further compensation or consideration in any and all media throughout the world, unless prohibited by law. If required by Sponsor, the potential winner must sign (or winner’s legal guardian or parent if such winner is not of legal age in his/her state of residence) and return a release of liability, declaration of eligibility within thirty (30) days of receipt. If winner is not of legal age in the state of residence, the prize will be awarded in the name of a parent of legal guardian.
